Working with the strata committee, we reviewed all available sources and costs and found that we can manufacture the racks locally within their budget and timelines.
The unique requirements included the ability to accommodate all bikes, including electric, as the spacing for each bike had to be variable. This requirement alone excluded buying off the shelf.
A prototype was first built for proof of concept and subsequently approved by the strata committee.
